Are you a thinker?
You know the kind of person I’m talking about.
They are the ones who sit on an idea for a long time- weighing out the pros, the cons, the benefits, the risks.
If you are thinking, “Yea, that is me! What’s wrong with that?!” Nothing- it’s totally cool! We definitely need people like you in the world or who knows what would happen. Eek.
I do have to be honest though, I’m just totally not one of those kind of peeps. I’m more of a let’s-jump-in-and-see-what-happens kind of person. I’m sure you figured that out when we released Hello Life– ha.
So in the fall of 2015 when Tena texted me that she had this crazy idea that she couldn’t wait to tell me, I was sitting in anticipation. We are kinda one in the same.
She blurted out the next morning that she wanted to put on a conference.
We both could have been consumed with thoughts like, “Hold on! What?! We have never done this big of a thing! How are we going to do this?! Can we really pull this off?”
Instead we jumped in with planning that day of the what, the who, the when, and the why.
Was it super easy and a smooth ride? Nope. But was it worth it? TOTALLY.
The two days we spent at the before. conference were beyond our wildest dreams. Although our whole team was utterly emotional and physically exhausted, we couldn’t imagine not having a conference every year. And now the 2017 before. conference will be here before we know it.
Sure, it could have totally went the other way- crashed and burned. But we would have never known if we sat on the idea for years without taking action.
So what are you thinking on? What have you been waiting to do until everything was absolutely perfect? (Hint: it’s like having a baby- you’ll never be 110% ready to do it!)
And maybe putting on a conference isn’t the thing you should be doing, but i know there is something you have been sitting on that is holding you back from your next great level in biz.
Ask yourself, what would it really take to put it in motion? And even more, what kind of wild crazy success could it lead your business to?
